My name is Brigid Carroll and I have a strong interest in fashion design. When I was in the 2nd grade I learned to sew and thus my fashion sense was born. Furthermore, my sewing teacher is opening her own business and I am helping her to establish it. I currently go to Bishop Kelley High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma and I arduously work on the costumes for the theater department. In my free time, I love to read, draw, play video games, and explore my environment which is reflected in my work. When designing something, especially for a character, I like to pull from historical garments and use color to fully represent the characters’ thoughts and emotions. My main goal when making costumes is to make it look elegant and refined - to do this I make sure that lines are straight and my stitches are neat. Overall, my dream is to make the things that people want to wear and I feel that it is cool to look at a garment and know that every detail has a purpose in the overall design.
